The U.S-registered BMC Racing Team met and complied with the UCI’s ethical, financial, administrative and sporting criteria to earn its license renewal. It completed its first season as a ProTeam as the No. 5-ranked team in the UCI WorldTour rankings, highlighted by Cadel Evans’s Tour de France victory. Evans finished the season as the No. 2 rider in the world rankings. “Cadel’s victory at the Tour de France and the team’s consistent performance throughout the year, both on and off the race course, is the true confirmation for this selection,” Ochowicz said. “We look forward to the 2012 season with renewed enthusiasm and pride in our team of riders and staff.” The BMC Racing Team will begin its 2012 season at the Santos Tour Down Under in mid-January.
