Custom Titanium Frames

A custom titanium frame is useful when body measurements, riding position, handling, load or components require more than a standard geometry. HILITE develops the frame in Basel around the complete bicycle and its intended use.

What can be customised?

frame geometry and riding position;
tube diameters, wall thicknesses and stiffness distribution;
tyre clearance, wheel format and fork;
Pinion, Rohloff, derailleur and compatible Gates configurations;
mounting points for luggage, bottles, mudguards, lighting and special equipment;
cable routing, dropouts and details of the complete build.

Geometry: a drawing defines position, handling and technical clearances.
Equipment: drivetrain, wheels, tyres, brakes and contact points are coordinated.
Approval and build: the agreed specification becomes the basis for manufacturing and assembly.

When is a standard frame the better choice?

A custom frame is not automatically necessary. If a proven HILITE geometry fits the rider and the intended equipment, an S frame is the direct and economical solution. HILITE recommends custom construction when it creates a concrete functional benefit.

Is titanium suitable for long-term use?

Titanium combines corrosion resistance with the ability to tune tube dimensions and frame behaviour. The quality of design, manufacturing and the complete specification remains decisive.
